One of the five applicants, got a job with BRJ in Turkiye

Unemployment rate in Turkiye dropped 2.1 points to 9.9 percent in April 2011 when compared to April 2010, decreasing it to a single-digit for the first time since July 2008. The non-agricultural employment rate was 12.5 percent, while youth unemployment was 17.9 percent in April 2011.

BRJ has launched job creation operation in Turkiye at late 2010. Since than, BRJ provides direct recruitment, vocational training and entrepreneurship training assistances from its branch in Istanbul. 5.000 job seekers applied to BRJ and 1.055 of them has got jobs through the job creation services of BRJ. 685 job seekers hired in a company, 104 job seekers got vocational training and employed after their graduations, 266 job seekers joined to entrepreneurship training and established their own companies.

Through the years of job creation operation experience in five countries, it showed that the communication with job seekers, entrepreneurs and employers is very important. BRJ has used online communication channels professionally in Turkiye. A very rich content covering BRJ website in Turkish (www.brj.com.tr) is followed by a bilingual BRJ blog providing uptodate information about the operation, services and opportunities. Tens of thousands of people visited BRJ websites and BRJ Facebook page reached to 13.000 followers. Daily job opportunities, messages to job seekers are announced at BRJ facebook and twitter pages to provide an equal opportunity operation to all job seekers in Turkiye.

BRJ conducts a green – paperless job creation operation and first time in Turkiye, we introduce “Online Job Creation Assistant” says Dr. Fatih Mehmet GUL, Country Manager of BRJ. www.brjkariyer.com is the job portal of BRJ in Turkish and job seekers find an online job creation assistant assisting them to create the best resume in order to increase their success to find a job.

One of the main job creation services of BRJ is to provide microfinance and micro bazaar areas to women entrepereneurs. BRJ plans to provide microfinance in Turkiye within a month and also develops online BRJ bazaar to assist entrepreneurs to reach more clients.
